Here is a shot of the mini garden in our backyard...we thought we would give it a try this year to see how well it would do. We planted peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, peas, beans and two different kinds of lettuce. Jon was "on board" with everything except the lettuce, and was even less thrilled with it when he discovered a rabbit was eating it all, so he covered it so that it was rabbit proof. (Insert the Elmer Fudd /"Crazy Rabbit" visual here)Tonight Madison "harvested" the lettuce and we had it with dinner.
It was by far some of the best we've had, even Jon agreed...guess my lettuce wasn't such a bad idea after all!
We each enjoyed a salad with dinner, and this is what is left of it...isn't it pretty!Life's simple pleasures.
