More With Farmer "Ted"

Yes, that's a pumpkin, and yes, it's growing in our back yard!

And yes, those are corn stalks...finally honey, your corn grew!!

A beautiful pumpkin just starting to turn a lovely shade of orange, complete with a barbed wire electric fence.
Okay, not really, but he would do it if I let him!

One of many cucumbers that has branched out and started to grown from the neighboring apple tree.

State Fair 2008

Mom and Emmy getting ready to head out to the fair, and my last official day as a 36 year old!

Emmy and her favorite cow.

Look mom, NO HANDS!!

You're never too old for a ride on the Giant Slide!

Weeeeeee!

Look out below!

Getting autographs from a Fox News celebrity...get this, he has two daughters also...
one named Madison and one named Emerson!

Getting ready for a ride on the Ye Old Mill, a State Fair tradition.

Ah, the thrills!

One last picture before a few smooches with my hubby!

Munching on the core fair food...corn dogs!

A little fun house action for Emmy.

Bumper car madness, you should have seen her face, priceless!

This radar is locked on it's 8 year old target!

Another thrilling ride at the fair.

Another year at the Midway!

You should have heard the girls shriek when they saw Sven Sundgaard, the local weather man...they could hardly stand still while waiting in line for their photo op.
A special thanks to Auntie Carrie for sharing some fascinating Sven trivia with Madison!

Then, out of nowhere comes evening
news anchor Mike Pomeranz...totally cool!
Resting after a ton of walking, lots of good food, and another very memorable day at the fair!

Handy Man

We were doing the after dinner dishes and heard it start...the gushing in a half a dozen spots from our VERY old garbage disposal.
After a call to Uncle Chuck and a few spaghetti pots full of water, Jon ran to Home Depot.
After more conversation with Chuck, Jon decided to give it a go on his own...here he is, hard at work!

Out with the old, in with the new...garbage disposal that is.
Good job honey!
