Madison worked really hard this week with chores and babysitting and earned enough to buy a habitat, food, bedding, wood chew toys, a see through exercise ball, and TWO mice! She did a great job being patient and waiting for "pay day" and didn't spend the week driving us nuts about it. She literally sprinted into the store though to make sure that he was still there, and when we walked in she was giddy and smiling from ear to ear!
Ladies and gentleman we present "Leo" who is up by the glass, and "Zippy" who is taking a drink.

This is Emerson pouting because she "can't do anything" with HER pet. We told her that level one of pet ownership is a fish, so she and Madison have a deal that Emmy can visit them anytime she wants, she just can't hold them without help. Isabelle is very curious about them, so we all agreed that they need to stay in Madison's room so she can't get to them. You'd think the cats would be going nuts...guess ours aren't that smart. It figures that Isabelle would be the one to worry about. Anyway, Madison is thrilled!

Congratulations Madison! Aren't they the cutest ever? They look like 'possums with big ears. ^^ Good job earning the money to buy them! I am very proud of you.
Way to go Madison - You can do anything you think you can do - I'm just not all that sure about your choice of animal but I must admit, they are cute - Maybe you can help Grandma get over her fear of mice. Maybe.
