Date Night

We went out for dinner tonight and there wasn't a kid's menu in sight!
We went and got our coffee and walked through the mall and there was no groaning or complaining about it.
We walked past a toy store and there was no begging to go in.
We went into the jewelry store and didn't have to worry about finger prints on the glass or fancy crystal crashing down off the shelf.
We went to Target and didn't have to visit the toy section.
We drove home and had uninterrupted conversation all the way.
We turned on the TV and didn't have to watch Disney Channel.
We put our pajamas on, sat on the couch, looked at each other, and wondered what the girls were doing and if they miss us yet.
Have fun at the lake girls, we love you lots!

Well, last night was the big talent show and it went perfect. We all performed our best talent and enjoyed it alot. We then popped popcorn and watched a movie. The three youngest made it until 11 while Madison and Grandma made it till almost midnight. This a.m. we had french toast after Emmy said a blessing and right now they are playing hide and seek. We haven't had one parent tell us what to do or had to go into any jewelry stores or walk around the darn mall. Just having fun. Madison is still asleep so we're chillin until it's time for the turtle races where again, no one will tell us to what to do or how to do it! Ahhhh, the good life! :)

So funny, and so true. It is nice to have some "down" time, but ya miss them too.

OK, so I know this has nothing to do with your "date night" but had to share...

I'm sitting at my computer, working on yucky work stuff, when Brianna comes in and tells me to tell both Lisa and Grandma Sherry via email that she is sending each of you something in the mail so to be looking for it. When I asked her why she selected you two, she said specifically... "Lisa's like my favorite person EVER!" I said, "Reeeallly?? your favorite ever??!!" and she said, "...of course! She's like your Janie!!" ;) (Who is like her BFF ever!)

I just thought it was so cute and sweet that I had to share...

LOVE YOU!!!!!

P.S. I'm glad you two had a nice quite evening to yourselves! Woohoo!
